Futures contracts in Spain In Spain, Article 1 of Royal Decree 1814/1991, of 20 November on the official markets are regulated futures and options, financial futures defined as follows: Forwards that aim to securities, loans or deposits, indices or other instruments of a financial nature, that have standardized their nominal amount, purpose and maturity, and are being negotiated and transmitted in an organized market’s record as Chancellor Society, clearing and settlement, becoming the buyer to the seller and the seller member to the purchasing member. In Spain we have the MEFF (Spanish Financial Futures Market), which acts as a clearinghouse and as a market. This is entirely regulated, monitored and supervised by competent financial authorities (CNMV and Ministry of Economy). MEFF is the core activity, the clearing and settlement of futures and options on the IBEX-35 stock index and stock.Futures that are traded through MEFF are: 1-Future European Equities. 2-Future IBEX-35. 3-Future Mini IBEX. 4-Future Spanish stocks. 5-Bond Future 10.
