The Danger of Apostasy
But the Spirit explicitly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons (1Ti 4:1). For many years I have heard that is a “great revival”. To my mind, what is preached, that this revival is to fill the Estadio Azteca, that people “feel God” and fall to the ground, filling churches and auditoriums. What does the Bible say about this It is our question. Some of the passages mentioning about these preachers are in the Old Testament and in reality – the context – are passages which refer to the people of Israel. Others mentioned Acts 2.16, where Peter quotes Joel (“pour out my Spirit upon all flesh”), but studying Joel, we believe in the Old Testament the Holy Spirit rested on certain men only. “I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh” implies that it would be no distinction between kings, nobles, and serfs poor. Anyone, regardless of race or social position may be filled with the Holy Spirit. And indeed this prophecy was fulfilled in Acts chapter 2. Are you really in the Bible as “famous final revival What does God say about it “And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry to him day and night Do you long with them (8) I tell you will avenge them speedily. But when the Son of Man find faith on earth (Luke 18:7-8) Consider the context of v.8: Jesus gives a parable to pray always and not lose heart, keep us forever in faith and believe that our prayers will always be heard. V.8 The question does not say: “When the son of man: he find a great revival in the land “. This is an important verse to consider (not just read fluently).Lucas used the gr. arrive, get off – that is, there is a clear allusion to the second coming of Jesus. He asks if coming, will he find faith on earth Here faith is the Greek word Pistis: trust in God. Jesus, in context, was talking about trusting God, that he will avenge us and to pray. In the midst of this topic, the teacher asks whether find trust in God If will be rendered to him . The answer – by implication – is NO. This description is contrary to the famous revival of preaching. Rather, the Bible speaks of apostasy in recent times. Hitler said that if you repeat a lie constantly, people will come to believe it as truth. Many have actually come to believe in this revival. But know this: that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2Ti 3:1). This text also states that in the last days will come a great revival. People will be lovers of themselves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, (3) unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, intemperate, cruel, haters of good, (4) traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, (5) that a form of godliness but denying the power thereof to do with them.
